Be a 1 percenter
Part of this whole missional thing is the ability to think differently about church and then do something about it. I ran across a couple of posts this week that illustrate what I mean. First, Earl Creps, professor at AGTS (he’s on my blogroll and worth a look). Earl, in an article published by an AG magazine, talks about being a practical theologian. I like that because that’s where I am. That’s why I loved church growth — you could do stuff like direct mail pieces, surveys, phone banks, etc. The missional stuff is harder to figure out, but obviously more….missional (aren’t you glad you’re not paying for this?).
Secondly, a really interesting post about being a 1 percenter from a marketing guy, Lewis Green. You need to read the whole post, but here is an excerpt:
